About Us

Celebrating 37 Years of Dance

Since 1987, we have been committed to each of our student's artistic growth in a loving, positive, and creative atmosphere through their

dance education.

Here at ATOC, we strive for excellence in everything we do. Our unique difference from other dance schools is our exceptional staff and choreographers that exhibit our family atmosphere along with expansive technique in ballet, jazz, tap, contemporary, hip hop, and tumbling.

About Our Owner

Lori Rayborn

Welcome & thank you for your interest in A Touch of Class Performing Arts. ATOC  was founded by Lori Rayborn in 1987 while enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University completing her undergraduate studies. ATOC started on a small farm with only 10 kids enrolled. By 1993, ATOC outgrew its space and relocated into its current building in historic downtown Ponchatoula.

The enrollment has continued to grow as its outstanding reputation and high achievement that the ATOC dancers accomplished both inside and outside of the studio. We feel very blessed to have the same staff members of over 25 years while continuing to hire new members as well. Every amazing staff member is invested in each student. For ATOC, this is our home and life we have created.

Our goal is to build each student ‘s self confidence while developing a love for the art of dance. We aim to inspire and shape our students to become the best version of themselves both inside & outside of the studio.

“My studio is so much more than a dance studio to me, it is my life. My dance family is who I am.”
